Many people wonder how the wise men from the East knew to search for the newborn “King of the Jews.”
The answer actually reaches back hundreds of years before Jesus was
born—to the prophet Daniel.
When Daniel was taken to Babylon, GOD elevated him to a position no
Israelite had ever held:
Leader over all the wise men, magi, and royal advisors (Daniel 2:48).
From that place of influence, Daniel taught them Israel’s
prophecies—including the coming of the Messiah.
These teachings were preserved for generations within the Eastern
scholarly tradition.
So when the Unique Star
appeared centuries later, the descendants of those very same wise men recognized the signs.
